How much effort do you think society should put into detecting and punishing bad actions? And how much to detect and punish bad speech? And how much to detect and punish bad thoughts or beliefs?
Now how much attention do we give to thoughtcrime? Or bad words?
God, how easy it would be to do bad deeds if you had the self-restraint never to talk about it.
